Apostolic Nunciature
Ottawa, Ontario
Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation
The firm has been responsible for continual renovation and restoration work done to this historic, stone masonry structure built in the mid 1800’s. One of the more beautiful homes in Rockcliffe Park, the Apostolic Nunciature is the home of the Vatican’s representative in Canada, and office of the Papal Nuncio. The mansion, also known as Manor House, is considered one of Rockcliffe Park’s most important estates. The Nunciature is comprised of picturesque grounds accessed through an arched doorway in the gatehouse. The grounds’ open space is surrounded by stone walls and is divided by a wider tree-lined driveway.

The firm carried out the design and implementation of an extensive restoration to the Apostolic Nunciature. The project consisted of the following work:

• Exterior metal restoration and finishing to the ground floor balcony and stairs, second floor balcony, as well as other miscellaneous metal items.

• Restoration and finishing to exterior lighting as well as incorporating a new lighting design.

• Restoration and renovation to the kitchen to suit contemporary functions.

• Various improvements to the surrounding landscape restored and returned to their original locations.
