St. Francis de Sales Elementary School

The design of this school is intended to allow for future response to educational changes. The concept for these schools is flexibility – the layouts are easy to change and adapt to different sites, programming, and student populations. Teaching spaces were designed to encourage creativity and collaboration. Student workspaces in the school are flexible, and sliding glass doors between classrooms allow for flexibility, encourage collaboration and stimulate learning activities. For the design team, this was a fast-track project from the initial programming, concept design, to the tender documents.
